San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is an internationally known zoological property, with many shows and adventures.

Sea Lion Show: This show spotlights animals that can be found around the globe and, as always, features our charismatic California sea lions. Show schedule: Daily at 11 a.m. in Wegeforth Bowl, with additional shows during weekends, summer, and school holidays.

Take Flight—An Avian Adventure: The skies above Hunte Amphitheater are a little friendlier—and more exciting! This amazing new free-flight bird show, by trainer and producer extraordinaire Steve Martin, showcases the airborne comedic talents of winged wonders, including ravens, eagles, storks, macaws, and many more, during daytime presentations. Who knew birds had such a great sense of humor? Daily at Noon and 2 p.m.

Dr. Zoolittle Show: Join our physician of fun, Dr. Zoolittle, in the Children’s Zoo’s Clark Theater for this interactive and hilarious show. Daily during summer, weekends, and school holidays.

The cost is $35, which includes the bus transportation to & from the Holiday Inn on the Bay and/or Convention Center.  The bus leaves at 10 am (Holiday Inn) and 10:45 am (Convention Center) for the zoo.  The return trip is at 5:10 pm and 5:30 pm.

Hornblower Whale & Dolphin Watching Tour

Ahoy mates!   Have you always wanted to go on a whale watching tour but never had to the time?   CSFA has arranged a 3 1/2 hour adventure with a professional (live) narration on the marine life around the San Diego area and the open sea.   This is no "Gilligan's Island" tour.  The ship is climate controlled and you have the opportunity to view harbor seals plus all the famous San Diego landmarks.  The $22.50, includes the bus transportation to & from the Holiday Inn on the Bay and/or Convention Center.

You will probably see many dolphins and porpoises jumping the wake of the ship, as we venture into the open sea in search of the whales.

December through April are prime Gray Whale watching time off the coast of southern California.   March and April are the months that these great whales are going back to their northern feeding grounds with their calves. 

Snack bar, full bar and souvenirs are available on-board the ship.

Guaranteed to see whales or you will be issued a pass for another whale watching or harbor cruise!
