1 October Mass Shooting

Greg Cassell, Fire Chief (ret.), Clark County Fire Chief

This session offers an in-depth look at the events that took place at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival that occurred on Oct. 1, 2017. Fifty-eight people were killed and over 800 were injured when a lone shooter opened fire from a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Chief Cassell will share the lessons learned and explain the recommendations designed to prepare your department and personnel for an active shooter/mass patient incident.
